Start ups and technology innovations have been given a push start by local entrepreneurs in Australia like Ruslan kogan ( www.kogan.com.au) and Matt Barrie of ( www.freelancer.com ) by making a name and running successful businesses in short period of time with minimum capital.
Despite being the most isolated city in the world, Perth’s proximity to Asia gives it an advantage over other states and the start up scene is suddenly buzzing in WA.
Silicon valley is the favourite destination for most start ups , but things are changing and Australia has recently had many more apps and websites that have had success in short time frame like big commerce.com, pozible ,discovr app
Recently , the start up scene in Perth is also hotting up with the global start-up incubator Founder institute also launching its Perth chapter. The Founder Institute is a worldwide network of start-ups and mentors that helps entrepreneurs get started with thier technology projects and launch meaningful and successful technology companies. The Founders Institute Perth is now based out of Spacecubed and Perth mentors will be in the space to offer their relevant expertise.

They have a good mentoring program, with a reasonable price fee for their start up mentoring programs and provide support and business help to get your business off the ground. Their next sessions are on 13 – Jun 06
