Beware of card Skimming @ Mac donalds and other outlets

Card skimming is all over the news In WA, The crims are targetting  WA people and its getting worse. The police are not revealing how the crims are doing this  apparently for security reasons. Are they hacking these  wireless devices while the information  is getting transferred wirelessly ?

We will know this only as more information and news unfolds

Below is a list of sites where the card skimming has occurred in WA. Please forward on so that the WA public (and others coming to WA) are aware!!

Skimmers will steal your card details and withdraw all your money. It is messed up! I last heard it was confirmed at the Maddington McDonalds but this article suggests that any Maccas is suspect.

On Tuesday, WA Police issued a state-wide alert after receiving dozens of complaints reporting missing money after transactions from point-of-sale EFTPOS machines since Monday.

While police have so far refused to detail exactly how the fraud was happening, it is understood McDonald’s is the only store to have been targeted.

Suspected unauthorised withdrawals should be reported immediately to your financial institution.
Reports of suspected fraud can be made to police by calling 131 444.
Suspicious activity can be reported to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

    Maccas at Morley too, my mum bought something for my kids to eat there and her card was cancelled 2 days later from her bank before any fraud happened without telling us
